Today in History in 1667 the first blood transfusion was performed by French Doctor Jean-Baptiste Denys; in 1788 Virginia becomes the 10th state to ratify the U.S. Constitution; and in 1876 the 7th Calvary under the command of George Armstrong Custer was wiped out by the Sioux and Cheyenne – Battle of Little Big Horn.
