Today in History in 1936 Margaret Mitchell's novel "Gone with the Wind" was published; in 1938 Superman first appears in DC Comics' Action Comics Series issue #1; and in 1977 Marvel Comics published the  "Kiss Book" a tribute to the rock group Kiss.
