Planning Board Gives O-K to Larger Lot Requirement
The Lincoln County Planning Board gave its approval, by a 7-1 vote, to a change in the UDO that will mean new homes  can only be built on lots of an acre or larger.  The change still needs approval from County Commissioners, and that's expected next Monday.

Planning Board Will Debate Zoning, UDO Requests
Last Monday night's (Aug. 1st) County Commissioners meeting lasted until 15 minutes before midnight.  The Planning Board, which meets in joint session with Commissioners each month for public hearings on rezoning requests, postponed its followup discussion and votes on the requests until this Monday.

Lincoln County Commissioners, on a split vote, turned down a rezoning request that would have allowed a Cornelius company to add 35 more townhomes to an East Lincoln development.  But First Federal Properties can still proceed with its original plan approved in 2014.
