IT'S OPENING NIGHT! DO YOU HAVE YOUR TICKETS?? The East Lincoln Theatre Arts Program's production of "Beauty and the Beast" is happening in the Black Box Theatre at East Lincoln High School. As of early Thursday morning, only 16 seats remained for Thursday night's performance. If you can't make it Thursday night (some may be attending the girls basketball playoff game at ELHS, others traveling to Enka to follow the EL boys) you can see the show Friday or Saturday night at 7 PM this weekend or at 7 PM Thursday, Friday & Saturday next weekend or at 2 PM this Sunday or 2 PM Saturday or Sunday next weekend.

There's also a big 'something extra' with this show: this Saturday, they'll have 'Lumiere's Palace Party'--described as an enchanted experience for young audiences. Tickets are $50 and admit an adult and a child for a day of fun: there'll be games and activities with the cast, lunch with Belle and the Beast, and a performance of the play. Tickets are still available.

Greg Franklin joined the staff at East Lincoln High School in 2018 and has turned the theatre program into one of the best. Projects like "Beauty and the Beast" and the added attraction of 'Lumiere's Palace Party' are no small project.

We won't bother to tell you the story (most are already very familiar). Ava Watters, a sophomore at East Lincoln, plays Belle and Arturo Galarza Chavez is the Beast.

The ELHS Theatre Facebook page is extremely well done, and you can meet all the cast there.

Step into the enchanted world of the Broadway classic "Beauty and the Beast" this weekend at East Lincoln High School.
