This Saturday (March 12th) it'll be time again to “Come on down!” at First Federal’s 'Price Is Right for Fighting Child Abuse' at the James W. Warren Citizens Center. The annual fundraiser benefiting the Lincoln County Coalition Against Child Abuse & Child Advocacy Center promises a fun-filled St. Patrick’s Day experience for the whole family.
This year's theme is “the Luck of Irish” as those attending will have a chance to win big money and some spectacular prizes. Barry Burleson will be returning to play the enthusiastic Rod Roddy complete with flamboyant apparel and Cecil Smith will be returning to play the witty Drew Carry. There'll also be special 'Price is Right' “beauties” including Stuart Boyles of Carolina Furniture Mart and a few other “beauty” surprises.
The purchase of a ten-dollar ticket will get you a chance to 'come on down' to be the next contestant on contestant row. There you will have the opportunity to win prizes donated by businesses and individuals including a riding lawn mower, a vacation package, furniture donated by Carolina Furniture Mart and World Wide Imports, a family get-away to The Great Wolf Lodge…or ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS in cash on PLINKO plus many other items.
In addition to the usual program, this year there'll be a live auction between games and a silent auction. Among the items to be auctioned are a full orthodontic package from Austin Orthodontics valued at $6,500, NASCAR tickets, Hornets tickets, Billy Joel concert tickets, tools, gift baskets and gift certificates to local attractions and businesses; and homemade cake s. The children’s games will return this year prior to the start of the show.
Doors open at 5:30 Saturday and the show starts at 6:30. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
