McKendree United Methodist Church on the Maiden Highway (US 321-Business) is having its Homecoming this Sunday (May 22nd).
Our friend Richard Baucom Jr. told us that he plans to play the carillon for the first time since the late 1970s.
Lightning hit the church back in the late 1970s and the chimes have been silent until a week ago. Richard said he thought the amplifier was fried but a new power cord seems to have fixed the unit.
