SHERRILLS FORD, N.C. - Douglas Scott Wolters, 59, of Sherrills Ford, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at his residence.

He was born February 17, 1965 in Niagara County, N.Y. to the late John Robert Wolters Sr. and to Frances Yvonne Moody Edwards of Sherrills Ford. Scott retired as an installer in the machinery industry and enjoyed fishing and gardening. He put his heart and soul into everything he did and was a loving and caring family man.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Victor Wolters.

Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 14 years Sally Ann Wilson Wolters of the home; mother Frances Yvonne Moody Edwards of Sherrills Ford; brother John Robert Wolters Jr. and wife Becky of Maiden; sister Carolyn Denise Norville (Lyndee) of Sherrills Ford; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Scott’s life will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service, 7878 NC Hwy 16, Newton. Rev. John Love will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service.
