LINCOLNTON, N.C. – On March 19, 2024, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigators and the LCSO SWAT team executed a Narcotics search warrant on a residence in the 1500 block of Old Lake Road, Lincolnton, NC.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit had received numerous complaints from neighbors about the residence at 1549 Old Lake Road and its owner, Blake Douglas Hopkins, 57.who owns the residence.

After a lengthy investigation the Narcotics Unit was able to obtain enough evidence to apply for a search warrant and the search warrant was granted. Narcotics Officers were able to make purchases of methamphetamine and Fentanyl from the residence during the investigation.

During the search of the residence, LCSO narcotics officers were able to seize methamphetamine, Fentanyl, marijuana, and a stolen firearm. Narcotics investigators also seized body armor from the residence along with several other firearms.

Hopkins was charged with possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a controlled substance Schedule IV, possession of marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, possession with the intent to manufacture, four counts of sell and deliver a controlled substance Schedule II, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was taken before a Lincoln County magistrate and placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under bond but has since been released.
