LINCOLNTON, N.C. - The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners and Planning Board will hold a joint meeting and public hearings on Monday, April 1, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. to consider the following matters: 

ZMA #731 G & G Smiley Investments, LLC, applicant (Parcel ID# 29699) A request to rezone a 3.6-acre parcel from B-N (Neighborhood Business) and R-SF (Residential Single Family) to B-G (General Business). The property is located at 1578 S. N.C. 16 Business Hwy. in Catawba Springs Township.

Following the joint meeting, the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners will hold public hearings to consider the following matters:

PA #59 John Wilson, applicant (Parcel ID# 91072) A request for preliminary plat approval for a residential subdivision with up to 19 lots. The 22.1-acre parcel is located on the east side of George Brown Road at the intersection with Moose Gantt Trail in Howards Creek Township.

WSSUP #38 Shively Warehouse, Inc., applicant (Parcel ID# 50083) A request for a watershed special use permit to exceed 36% impervious surface area in the WS-IV Protected Area of the South Fork/Catawba River water supply watershed as a special nonresidential intensity allocation under the 10/70 option. The applicant is proposing to expand the parking area for freight trailers on a 5.63-acre site for an existing plastics recycling facility, with an impervious surface area of approximately 56.4%. The property is located at 1884 Kawai Rd. in Lincolnton Township.

SUP #504 G & G Smiley Investments, LLC, applicant (Parcel ID# 29699) A request for a special use permit for the expansion of an existing contractor’s office in the Eastern Lincoln Development District (ELDD) overlay. The 3.6-acre parcel is located at 1578 S. N.C. 16 Business Hwy. in Catawba Springs Township.
